I need new shocks and it seems 5100s are they way to
GO, but i figured i would replace my coils up front while i was in there. I looked into OME coils but i do not want the lift that they will give because i want to leave it stock. Should i use stock coils with 5100s or is it stupid to get 5100s and not lift my truck? At the end of the day i want some quality shocks and coils but i dont want to lift my truck

If you want to leave it totally stock, you could just get new oem coils and the standard yellow Bilstein HD shocks.

You won't gain anything from 5100s unless you want to level the stance (which I don't recommend, and it sounds like you are not interested in) and get a shittier ride. Just because they seem to be popular does not mean they are good. I got rid of mine because they becam too harsh, and many people have had them break.

Don't forget shocks in the rear if they are stil original. You should find a tremendous improvemnt in handling.

Actually Ben, you might have your wires crossed tonight. I am seeing 1.25 to 1.5, and 881s are 1.75 to 2, depending on cab styles and engine, respectively.

So this hasnt answered my question. Are there are any good coils that wont raise my front end? I have a double cab and i think i saw somewhere that 880s will raise .5 inches in a double cab, will that make that much difference to have my front a half inch higher?

5100s front at 2.5" with Moog replacement springs, 5100s in rear with 2" Wheeler's AAL
Moog coils are pretty good. Cheap too.

Recently warrantied mine because of leaking oil, they asked for a pic of the shock and i emailed them one.I purchased another shock, sent my leaker back and was refunded for the purchase.
