Toyota Exhaust Tip Being Redesigned?

Last evening, I put an order in for the Valor exhaust tip which is the EOM part from Toyota. Wonder if anyone else is familiar with this?? Here is the response I received back.

YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELED:

Toyota has stopped production on most of the exhaust tips and they are in the middle of redesigning them . They had a issue with the clamp design and had a few that fell off .

That's the first I've heard of this ...

 

There was one for sale here.....Look in the buy/sell/trade thread. It was posted along with another part.

The tip's clamp was redesigned, they are available now thru Toyota's dealerships. I bought mine last month from my dealer.

 

I wish I had seen that tip for sale earlier... Missed out on it! Thanks, though!
