I have a 2006 tacoma (just got it and I'm new to the truck world, hi everyone). But I really love the look of the 2011 and newer year. Is it possible to buy a body kit from one of those years and is it possible to install it on to my 2006(long bed)?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
if you are talking about the front end of the 2012+, you can get the headlights, bumper, grille, (possibly trim pieces) and hood to mimic the update.

You can but it's expensive because so much is different. I think even the front fenders have to be changed on top of everything listed above. I don't think it's worth it but I also don't like the grill...

you need the hood, fenders, grill, bumper, and headlights. Last person to do spent around $3k. Then you gotta think if the colors match, for instance 05-11 black tacomas are black sand pearl whereas the 12's and up and just black

That's a good point too. A lot of the colors changed in 2012 so you will likely have to pay for paint on all the new parts or repaint the rest of the truck to match the parts.

Yep you're right. Glassworks lists their fiberglass fenders as fitting 05-current

Good to know. I stand corrected then. I wasn't sure if that side of the headlights were an exact fit or not as the 05-11's. So then, just a hood, grill, bumper, and headlights to convert it. And paint.

Only thing different are the grille and led tails. I think they added Bluetooth and aux on the '11. 2012 was the big update.

I'm pretty sure OP meant 2012 and newer, not the 2011's.
