Hi, I just fulfilled a childhood dream and bought a Tacoma. I know a lot about upgrading street racing cars but I'm fairly new to off road vehicles, even though I grew up in the environment. So my question is:

My first upgrade is going to be a lift with tires. I've been doing some research and I kinda have an idea but I'd like to hear from you all. What size lift is the best for off roading (mudding, all terrain, trailing, camping, daily driver)? And what size rims and tires are best?

LOL I would do some research into Expo rigs, they are kind of a jack of all trades. The draw back is when you make exceptions for one area, lets say mudding, you loose something else. In mudding you want large aggressive knobby tires to grab and claw at the dirt, that is great for mudding but sucks for daily driver. Your gas mileage goes down and you will start to hear more humming while highway driving.

Figure out what it is you want to do more and then plan how to build it. Then you will keep playing with it for ever, it never ends
