While on the interstate last night my check engine light and the "Trac Off" light both came on and my cruise control stopped working. I had filled up my tank about 2 minutes prior. I stopped by an auto parts store and had the code read and it showed that I'm running lean.

I installed a URD cold air intake in late December, but everything seems snug and this is the first time I've had this problem. Any ideas? Also, is it recommended to put the stock intake back on if I need to take it to the dealership? Any insight is appreciated.

I had a problem with my check engine light as well. My speedometer/ odometer stopped working because the speed sensor broke and I have to replace it. This could be causing it if it isn't the intake. Take it to the shop and have them do a diagnostic to figure out what it is.

I spoke to URD earlier and they said they haven't had issues with their intakes causing check engine lights to come on. He gave me some pointers on what to check, but unless someone has any other advice I'll most likely be putting the original back on to see if that solves the problem. If not I'll take it in.

Could it be something simple like gas cap not on correctly?

Gas cap what I was thinking too... If the URD intake has been on there since December it probably would have given you a light much sooner if it was the culprit. Take it to autozone, they'll scan it for you for free and tell you what it is.

That was the issue with my wife's Lexus. She said "I was having a hard time opening it, so I didn't put it on tight".

Dont hammer the intakes filter down too hard.... There's a small rib iirc that kinda seats when the filter is on all the way. Pushing it down further has caused issues in the past but I can't remember if it was lean or rich.

I ran the urd for a while with no check engine lights.

I was thinking the same thing. It just came on while I was on the interstate. My girlfriend was driving and all of the sudden the cruise control quit working and the light came on. I had it scanned at an auto parts store and they were only able to tell me it was running lean.

Everything with the intake seems to be snug and in place. I'll double check that the filter is on correctly, but it seemed fine as well.

I have made sure the gas cap is on correctly. I thought the same thing since it came on around 20 mins after I filled up. Unless the cap is bad that is not the issue. Could that make it throw a lean code?

Had that come on two weeks ago, I have the 2011, went to the dealer, and the scan said it was the O2 sensor, replaced free of charge under warranty! They said the traction control light comes on an knocks out traction control to prevent any damage in case the engine fouls up!

AZ hunter - what was the problem? My check engine light and trac off light just came on in my 2014. It's also making this weird sucking sound. I did just install a remote start last week which won't function correctly as well. Hope it doesn't have anything to do with the remote start. Saw another post where someone had there ECM replaced in there 2014

Well, I ended up resetting the code because I had a little road trip this weekend and needed cruise control. I dropped it off at the dealership yesterday for a 5k mile service as well as an A/C issue (no cold air at highway speeds). He said he will take a look but without the diagnostic info that goes along with the check engine light he can't see much. I'll let you know this evening if I figure anything out.

I hate these threads, take it to the dealer, it's under warranty.

Same exact thing just happened to me. I just washed the engine compartment earlier today. May have gotten some moisture in something.

My issue was related to my remote start. I replaced it and problem solved.
