Tacoma 33 ko2 basic revtec lift. Tire carrier, snorkel many more hopefully coil overs and Eaton e lockers in the future. 4Runner. TRD Pro shocks and coil over. Waiting on trd wheels skid plate and pro grille
It's probably a saftey thing. You'll have a hard time making turns with the lockers on. It'll want to go straight because both of the wheels are spinning at the same speed. It is a good idea to engage it once in awhile cause the motors due freeze up if you don't use it often.

it says in the manual that the locker is disengaged in 2wd or 4H which sucks because I like to use mine in 2wd like I did on Prerunner

Same here, I miss being able to shift on the fly in 2wd with my FX4, F-150. Was useful when you are boonie crashing in sand and washed out areas that don't really require AWD/ 4WD or in my opinion overkill 4-Lo range.

I guess Toyota feels that the truck is so capable without the aid of the locker, the locker should only be needed when and if it gets actually stuck.
