Hey everyone. I've been reading about single stage paint care until I'm blue in the face. I'm looking for some guidance on single stage paint care. My recently purchased white 2009 Toyota Tacoma's hood and roof have some oxidation, and I've got a professional detailer that is going to polish it this week to restore the factory shine. I have always applied wax or polish by hand, and I had planned on using Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax (big fan with its ease of use) every two months to help prevent any future oxidation, but the detailer recommended Optimum GPS every three months. Any opinions on which product to use in my situation, or any opinions on any other products? The pickup will be garaged, but it will be outside at work 3 days a week due to my 24 hour shift schedule. I'm not looking to make my DD truck perfect, but I'd like to prevent any future oxidation without too much hassle. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Keeping it waxed with any quality synthetic or carnauba wax will help preserve the finish after its polished.
Lack of protection, harsh detergents and improper washing causes most damage to the finish.
With so many products on the market now days it's hard to say which is best, I use one product for summer and another for winter.
To be totally overwhelmed with opinions look on a detailing forum like Autogeek  ,, if you get serious about keeping your finish looking great it's a good forum for info.

You should do before and after pictures of your Truck and post what products you used.

Any quality synthetic once every 2 months is more than enough. 3 is fine but I would use a quick spray synthetic between.
