Which one do you guys think is cooler?

I was going to buy a tundra but the gas would have killed me on my commute to school.

With the tacomas outdated engine, it isn't achieving what other v6 cars are producing in terms of MPG so its bad enough as it is.

And other V6 engines aren't achieving the bulletproof reliability either.

    such as what?

I just purchased a 2014 tacoma so it doesn't hurt my feelings. If you compare it to other v6 engines it is horrible to get 17-18mpg.

The new Tundra looks cool, but if you don't need that big of a truck, I'd stick with the Tacoma.

    I changed from a 2007 Tundra Double Cab 8 foot bed 4x4 to a 2014 Tacoma Regular cab 4x4.
    Tundra Pros -
Power 5.7L 15.oo seconds in the 1/4 mile!
    Towing
    Space for passengers
    15-17mpg

    Tacoma Pros -
    Maneuverability
    Customizations
    19+mpg

Personally I have no need to carry 6 people around anymore, and I often don't tow more than 3500 lbs. thus the Tacoma was the winner of the new truck award. :)

It is a personal preference. Good luck!

Be sure the other 6's are 4WD trucks before you jump to conclusions.

    Not enough...
I don't understand current truck sizes. 1st gen Tundra was perfect. The new one is a monstrosity. Not only it does not fit into most of the normal garages, they also make an extra long bed version! Who the hell needs that?

If the first generation was perfect why did they change it, they changed it because the market (customers demanded a larger truck. Where there is a need there is a way. I get what you are saying though. Guy down the block has a first generation tundra. Thing is pretty sweet.

Just my opinion, the current Tundras are very capable and functional if you need a full size, but they are not attractive at all. The older, smaller ones were better looking, but if they still existed the current Tacoma wouldn't probably.

I think the new Tundras sort of look like a marshmallow that won't fit in my garage. Tacoma for me.

    nothing cool

Hmmmm... This is a Tacoma Forum right? I'll bet if ya go to the Tundra Forum they say the Tundra is cooler. And the Nissan Frontier they say the Fronty is cooler. And I was part of the Ranger Station (Ford Ranger) and they definitley think theirs are the coolest trucks on the planet.

But, to answer the question I initially thought the Tacoma was the best looking truck when the new design came out in 2005. Didint' know anything about the Tacoma at all except that it looked awesome.

Best friend has a 4 door '10 Tundra, I've got a '09 Tacoma AC. Each of us rides in the other's a lot, both city/highway. My take, not much difference in ride or handling. He needs the extra room, tows heavy on occasion, doesn't mind the extra fuel consumption. I am perfectly happy with my Tacoma.

    Different strokes for different folks.
