I'm in the same two leagues this year that I was in last year, and my frist draft was last night. This is a 10 team league with standard scoring, and we start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 WR/TE, 1 K, 1 DEF.

    Here is my team:

    Position Round Name Bye Week
    QB 8 Carson Palmer 8
    QB 10 Matt Hasselbeck 7

    RB 1 Frank Gore 6
    RB 5 Kevin Smith 7
    RB 7 Larry Johnson 8

    WR 2 Andre Johnson 10
    WR 3 Reggie Wayne 6
    WR 4 Aquan Boldin 4
    WR 6 T.J. Houshmandzadeh 7

    K 12 Nate Kaeding 5
    K 13 John Kasay 4

    DEF 9 Vikings 9
    DEF 11 Bears 5

I decided that I would go heavy after receivers since we start 3 receivers each week. My original plan was to draft a good RB and WR then wait to pick up a couple of the top tier TEs since they are not a required spot, but they started flying off the board while there was still good receivers so I just ate up receivers with my picks in round 2, 3 and 4.

I will probably struggle at QB, but I also picked two players that could end up producing back on par with the better QBs in the league if they stay healthy.

All and all the part I’m the most happy about is that I got players that I wanted in rounds that I wasn’t sure they would be available in, and I don’t have a single bye week conflict to worry about at any position!

I give it a B-... Frank Gore and Andre Johnson as your first two picks not too good... I would have gone after Drew Brees or Peyton Manning in the first Round.. and then picked up a descent RB in the 3rd or 4th.. probobly could have gotten Gore in the 3rd.. or even a Steve Slaton or Chris Johnson.. You should do ok as long as Palmer stays healthy and they can win atleast 6 or 7 games.. bc even the ones they lose will probobly be marathon games with both teams scoring high.

Good luck with Boldin i had him last year and he pulled in great numbers other than the couple games he was out hurt

Brees was gone by my pick along with Brady and Manning I believe. I was pick number 8 in the draft, so the very top 1st tier playes were gone. The way I look at QBs is a little differently than some poeple anyway. I don't think QBs are worth picks in the first couple rrounds because you can only start one of them each week. They do score the most points pretty much every year, but they don't put up as many points as 2 RBs or the 3 WRs that we start every week in my league.

I've got to say that you're pretty crazy with the Gore in the 3rd round comment. He has been averaging pick number 6 overall on CBS and Yahoo. He is one of the few featured running backs left in the league, and I personally would take him over two (Forte and Turner) of the guys that people are saying should be taken in the top 4.

I'll update how I feel about the draft after we get going in to the season.

I will say that I think Gore will be in the top 5 in RB scoring, Smith will be in the top 10 in RB scoring, and I'll have 3 of the top 10 in WR scoring. I'm counting on these positions carrying my team since they make up 5 of the 8 positions we start every week. We'll see.

There was a giant fail in the one draft I did last week. Guy with the first overall pick in the draft made a fan boy pick of Tony Romo and left Adrian Peterson to fall into the lap of the 2nd pick.

Andre Johnson is a solid pick. As long as Hasselback stays healthy he will be hooking up alot with Housh. Gore is a solid, durable runner. I just don't know how the SF O-line is this year. The big positive for Gore is that SF doesn't have a passing game let alone a solid QB.

I had another friend beg me to be in a league, so I'm in three this year now. I drafted this one last week, and I was the number 1 pick. The draft for the league I run is tomorrow night, and it is my only 12 team league. It should make things interesting.

    In league 2 we play 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def.

Here is my team in league 2:

    Position Round Name Bye Week
    QB 6 Donovan McNabb 4
    QB 11 Carson Palmer 8

    RB 1 Adrian Peterson 9
    RB 4 Kevin Smith 7
    RB 7 Larry Johnson 8

    WR 2 Reggie Wayne 6
    WR 3 Greg Jennings 5
    WR 5 T.J. Houshmandzadeh 7
    WR 9 Jerricho Cotchery 9
    WR 16 Chris Chambers 5

    TE 10 Kellen Winslow 8
    TE 12 Jeremy Shockey 5

    K 14 John Kasay 4
    K 15 Nate Kaeding 5

    DEF 8 Cowboys 6
    DEF 13 Jets 9

I didn't even know I was number one overall, and I didn't get in to the draft room until I was about to pick my 2nd pick. Good thing the computer took Peterson 1st!!!!!

12 team league, and I'm done.

    In league 3 we play 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR/TE, 1 K, 1 Def.

Here is my team in league 2:

    Position Round Name Bye Week
    QB 5 Matt Ryan 4
    QB 10 Matt Hasselbeck 7

    RB 1 Frank Gore 6
    RB 4 Clinton Portis 8
    RB 8 Reggie Bush 5

    WR 2 Andre Johnson 10
    WR 3 Marques Colston 5
    WR 6 Santonio Holmes 8
    WR 9 Tory Holt 7

    K 12 Neil Rackers 4
    K 13 Nick Folk 6

    DEF 7 Giants 10
    DEF 11 Bears 5

So I pulled off no bye week problems again. This draft was much more difficult with 12 teams instead of 10....
