Was thinking of removing the seats and back piece and create a (fairly) large custom storage box. Wondering if anyone's got something they've done and would like to share so I can get ideas. My neighbor is a woodworker and can create just about anything for me. Want to have it set up to store recovery gear, Jack, tools, etc etc... Was thinking of a basic box with a top lid. Maybe even go fancy with it and install a couple subs into it on the sides perhaps.

    Share what ya got.
I wanna see it all. Small to large.
And please no 'containers'. I've already considered this and I do not want that or a bed tool box.

I made a steel frame for the base out of angle iron and held it down with bungees to the top handle. I mounted the frame with hinges on the front and positioned it so that when the box is out, the jump seat can still fold down. Also, the frame can swing up to allow access to the cubby hole below.

After making this I think I have only ended up using the seat once.

I wonder how it would sound if I just put my subs in the front of a box like this. I have a shallow mount 12" Pioneer. Was wanting a second one too. I know it's not gonna be a great idea to not have it in a open space, but how bad can it be? My sub isn't all that great anyways so I'm not too worried about making it properly sealed. But if I did just cut out a couple holes and mount them, is it gonna sound like shit? Or is it just not gonna hit as hard? I realize I probly should post this in audio section but since I'm here... Any input would be appreciated. Tnx.
