Billies 5100's front set to 1.75 plus 1/4 taco lean spacer. Rears Billies plus AAL for a 2" leaf. 265/75/16 BGF's. Double din Kenwood stereo w/bluetooth and steering wheel controls and JBL speakers front & rear. Heavy duty battery. Billet grill blacked out. K&N air filter and MBRP cat-back. Just tuned it up new plugs and new front brake pads. Steel powered coated tailgate cap. Billet Grill painted black & factory roof racks. Oh new head lights thanks to toyota.
OK, now that I installed the 5100's at 1.75 my front end is almost an inch high. I know u can't see it from outer space but I can. I was thinking of adding a leaf to my 3 leaf springs but then I'm lifting the a$$ 2 inches back to what it looked like before I installed the billies. aaahhhhhh! If I drop the shocks to .85 I will be .75 " lower in the front. This is crazy next its buy bigger tires to fill in the enormous gap in my wheel wells. :frusty: I just wanted the truck level.

So question is is the 3 leaf spring crap and would adding a leaf make it not crap? Or should I just buy a 4 leaf TSB spring?

Aal would help the crap of a factory spring. The tsb will help a lot more if you carry weight in the bed

What exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to lift it? Or just level it?

883 OME springs are 1.25... they split the difference between the 5100 .85 and 1.75 setting.
I would get those springs for 200 bucks and set the 5100s to 0

(I have a feeling ill be doing the same shortly as I'm going to install the 5100s at .85 tonight)

Toy-Tec only has stuff for six-lug trucks - and mine is a five-lug.

A year or two ago I added frame/spring-purchase airbags and they do work. But with air in them the rear just feels 'bouncy'. The shocks are new and control the bounce - but the bounce is still there. To me anyway. <g>

140,000 miles on them - can the stock rear springs be bad / worn out?

No leafs are broken so I thought adding a leaf might be The Ticket. Or maybe adding a "helper spring" kit would do it - which would be easier to do.

But I hate to spend $200. not fix the problem and then wish I had just replaced the springs for $500. <g>

What to do - what to do - what to do . . . . That is The Question. <g>
