    Yeah. But a supercharger with 93 is a no brainer. Who's gonna drive around with a pinging s/c on 89?

    TRD recommends 93. No reason to use anything else. Its only 20cents more a gallon.

    My point is that the supercharger does not make the engine more efficient on 93, it just calls for it and so happens that 93 may give better mpg.
    However I have seen no difference and 20c/gal adds up to a lot in one year. More than you are saving.

    Ok yes 93 octane would generally give better mpgs and my point is that those with a s/c wouldn't run 89 cause that creates engine knocking, pre ignition, you're increasing cylinder pressure thus needing higher octane rate

    I don't think running anything less than 91 is healthy for the engine not to mention the S/C.

    No guys I understand not to use mid or low grade gas in a charged engine, I was just saying that people with normal engines can run 93 as well so I just wouldn't call it a perk of charging. Just more of a forced good habit. But like I said I don't think the price is worth it, and I know this is not typically the case but I've seen shell v power for 3.75 when regular was 3.10.

    alot has to do with ur elevation.

    The n/a truck will run on 87 but for peak performance and the ability to add more timing (I assume), toyota advises 91

    blown= 91+......no exception
