Been a while. I have everything for my system and now need to start on the little things to get it ready for install. I have 2 custom boxes built by mr. Marv for 2 10tw3 subs. It's just a bare box right now but I did buy some carpet for the boxes. I am just wondering when I go to start carpeting them do I want to carpet just what you can see or the entire box (including the back).

Reasoni am asking is I play to apply rammat to the back wall and want everything to still fit. I know his boxes are a pretty tight fit.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you don't carpet the back, the sounds emitted will be so out of sinc that you won't be able to piss off the old guy in the car next to you at the stop light.

    Sorry, but you asked.

    EDIT:

OP, I would do that last after a test fit. If you have room to carpet all of it go for it. If you can't due to space then don't. I don't see it affecting your sound output in anyway. When I build my box I fiberglass resin the inside, primer the outside, then use bed liner as box material. Lots of bed liner.

Good luck. Post pic's of your setup when you are done!

^ agreed. if they are in a sealed box carpet is NOT going to change anything.
(thought I may help the box not rattle against bare metal)

I wasn't worried about sound output of anything due to the carpet. I was more thinking if it will still fit knowing how tight he builds his boxes with carpet on the back of the box + the back wall of the cab sound deadened.

I'll have to test fit the boxes and see what I'm working with. I just have to remove the plastic trays and go from there

yeah I was responding to the 2nd post.....
If that wall is sound deadened I wouldn't bother carpeting the back
Once its in there youll never think about it again
