Diminished Value on a '14 Taco

It is the body shops, mechanics who report.
In 09, I scraped my front plastic bumper on a rock wall, while backing out of a driveway.
This was during work, got mileage reimbursement for use of my vehicle.
I stopped at a shop recommended by my employer, buddy from his church.
Asshole I worked for would not cover the deductible to repair.
They took my registration and entered an $1800 damage report
I went to a local supplier for body shops/detailers.
They set me up with everything I needed to repair the scratches. $34.00.
$34, and 3 hours of my time, instead of replacing the bumper cover, painting, etc.
When I sold it in 2013, I pointed out the repair to buyer. He couldn't see it.
07 TRD Sport 4x4. Paid $28k in Feb 07, sold for $18k on Feb 13, 80k miles, some minor dings, smoked in it.
I don't know if he ever checked car fax. Craigslist, he was 2nd caller, 1st day. Bought a few days later.
