There's tons of Tacomas in my city. Wilmington, NC isn't that big, but there are lots of guys/gals around here with modded 2nd gens. Funny thing is, i've seen maybe one on Tacomaworld. I see at least 3 or 4 lifted 2nd gens a day around. Almost none of them waive back if i waive at them too! wtf. I can count 2 MGM's, 1 speedway blue, 1 red and 2 silver just off the top of my head that i see around town on a regular basis. 1 guy even lives in my neighborhood. Lots of tacoma love around here.

Quite a few Tacomas in my area. 98% of them are driven by old people. A few FJ's and T4R's here too, some of which are modded. A majority of them are douchebags too. Literally have met 1 cool guy here into Toyotas. I try to wave at fellow modded Yotas and i generally get the dumbfounded look or absolutely no acknowledgment so i quit trying. However, there is the occasional first wave or wave back.

There are atleast 5 in my lil town. One other that has had stuff done to it, one that has a brush guard, and a couple stock. There could be more. There are also a few 1st gens.

If you want to be waved back at ride a motorcycle. When I was touring several years ago I found that fellow touring motorcyclists would almost always wave back, sometimes with their feet (I wondered about the sanity of those people until I caught on that they were waving while keeping both hands on the bars).

I do in fact ride a motorcycle. Mine just has knobby tires and enjoys having a bit of oil mixed in with the fuel.

Considering I live in Metro Detroit, Not many, I can go day's without seeing another one. All truck owners in my area stick with the "Big 3". I see a lot more toyota mini vans/compact cars and scions than anything else. No taco's, tundra's or 4runners.

The last light I came to driving home was in Westbrook Maine (west of Portland ) from there I drove another 37 miles with only two stop signs if I had gone another 8 miles there is a light in Fryeburg near the NH border. This is why I get well over 100K out of front brakes!

I got a kick from the "famous brands" map. Florida is Hooters. I would have thought that something else would be more famous in Kansas than Garmin though. Like maybe Pizza Hut? Well, maybe not as they recently moved.
