Turn signal question Hi, I have a 2015 Tacoma. I was coming from a car where you just had to nudge the blinker and you got 3 blinks out of it which was enough time to change lanes. I didn't even test drive the truck to find out that you have to actually fully press down the turn signal lever or hold it long enough for a couple blinks. QUESTION: Is there a way to modify it so that it will blink 3 times by nudging it, like almost all modern vehicles newer than 2003 do. Can't believe they don't have this simple/helpful technology in these trucks. Must be something I can do to change it? Thanks in advance for any ideas you have. Love my new truck other than this.

    Best,
    Mark

You know, I've bought 8 new vehicles since 2003 and not a one of them had that feature.

Probably not; I have it on my '13 Rav4, but the blinks are computer controlled and can be changed using TechStream software. There is no mechanical blinker. The signal blinks are digitally generated, with a small speaker underneath to simulate the mechanical click.

My Prelude has something I like for the turn signal stalk. Instead of having to fully click on the signal you can push it on to a soft "notch" for changing lanes. I like it because you can easily hold it on for the second or two when changing without having to click the signal on and off.

This. Hated this "feature" on the Ford Escape rental last year. Seems to be an American or German creation along with other oddities like putting headlight controls on the dash rather than on the turn signal stalk. I am glad Japanese interior controls are still mostly based on common sense.

I've got that one thing, and that other one thing, oh yeah and that other other one thing.
It's on my wife's Escape, only use that when leaving round abouts. Other than that, it's annoying as all hell.
