Ask them to do some homework and see where these vehicles are actually assembled. Toyota is more american made now than chevy! Good to prove them wrong but bad for us, I think the trucks of yesteryear were solid compared to today. Not that these are bad but you can see the difference, I still love my 07 and would pit it against a chevy everyday.

Tell them that they are correct. There are more bolt on mods for GM trucks than for Toyota trucks. Because there are. Agreeing on a fact to hillbilly looking to pick a fight is a sure fire way to confuse them.

That’s odd because Tacos generally gets a lot of respect from the Chevy and Ford guys.

well the thing is those big sized trucks that they have are an american thing, only north america sells them, and its because people here dont research they just believe that everything they think is right, so if they like a dodge or a chevy its because its the shit to them. they dont know why they just know. if they actually pulled their heads out of their asses and looked into some reviews they wouldnt have bought there giant gas guzzlers

o one more thing, chevy releases a new look to the silverado every three years, how are they supposed to hold any value when they keep coming out with something newer?

i agree with Jan on this one, who cares what they say. one of my buddies has a brand new dodge 3500 and the other has a 02 or 03 ford F250 HD. both are cool trucks with no problems (so far). they make fun of my "mini" truck all the time. but i wanted a small, simple reliable truck, for my daily driver that got decent mileage and could be taken on trails. thats exactly what i got. theirs wont last as long and can never be considered daily drivers due to how uncomfortable they are (the ford has leaf's up front) and the gas they guzzle. so just chill.

but if you ahve to say something just point out the fact that toyotas are used religiously all over the world in some of the most desolate and ruined areas ever walked by man. both for offroad use and hauling huge loads. and there is a reason that toyotas are used instead of ford and chevy, they last forever and do more than they were ever designed or built to do. middle east, Africa, Asia.... they all use toyota trucks cause they cant be beat for utility and toughness

    Nothing yet, brand new!
Pros of Tacoma vs domestic of equal value when purchased new.

    1. Resale value
    2. Resale value
    3. See 1 and 2

I've had full sized Fords, Chevies, Dodges (power wagon) & the 2 Toys I've had (my old one was an 83' straight axle 4x my current being 2000 TRD v6 4x ) did circles around all of them, as far as your friends with the (excuse me while I laugh) s-10's what a pile of shit ! My brother has a 2002 black S-10 LS ( the more expensive pile of shit) V6, lifted 2x and that fucking thing has been nothing but problems, drives shitty, $3600.00 to rebuild that piece of shit A-4 auto tranny that GM been has been dumping on the public for years, & the resale value of most chevies (especially the S 10's ) is the worst of all 3 big manufacturers. Tell yer buddies I said stew on that shit for awhile ..

Everyone knows you can't do shit for engine mods on Japanese cars. Everyone who has one is forced to leave it stock. Nobody's ever modded a 4G63, 2JZ-GTE, SR20DTE, B16, K20, or EJ257. Never. Completely unmoddable, all of them.
