help with indents from old badges please

sorry if this has been asked before, i have a 2013 black tacoma. i removed the tailgate badges today. fishing line is great. but u can still see the indentation on the tailgate. how do i get rid of this? i waxed it and its still there. it looks like crap to me. i will just buy new badges if i cant get it perfect !

 

You already got ALL the glue off with something like goo gone or lighter fluid right? Are you sure?

Can you feel the edge with your fingernail? Is it a ridge or a depression?

If it's a ridge, use clay bar. If it's a depression - next step is to move to a fairly abrasive polish and rub it out.

 

thank you bjmoose, all the glue is off. i will double check but thinking its a depression, either way, i think one of these methods will work and that makes me happy
