    Negative. I speaking in future tense. When they put their clamp on my leafs i will consider it a direct slap in the face and go get those 5leaf ones from wheelers. :|

    The leafs need to remain separate to operate properly. You would have to disassemble the leaf pack to drill and install a bolt and nut. Plus there isn't enough room between the Overload leaf and the leaf above for a nut or a bolt head... They possibly could come up with something else. IMO I think your method is way too labor intensive, them springs is hard.

    They may just clamp the whole Kaboodle together like the diesel dude suggested above...

    For what it's worth I was at the dealer today getting a state inspection and the service manager told me the recall would replace the springs but toyota hasn't started sending the new springs out to dealers yet. He said they were waiting for the parts before starting the recall.

    Replace the springs for all 690,000 trucks in the recall, or for those found with broken leafs?
