pumping the throttle 100 times is with engine off

put it in neutral, forward, reverse, first, second or any other gear

pump the throttle from no throttle to full throttle 100 times

This only works on a higher mileage truck. This fixes a truck with a flat spot on the potentiometer. Flat spot develops from setting at one throttle position for a lot ( 90,000 on my truck ) of miles.

On a new truck this is not your problem

My problem ended up being 2 codes by the time I fixed it. It would barely even go 60 without sputtering and bogging down. Rear O2 and new MAF sensor took care of it. Even got a magnaflow muffler in while changing the O2 sensor. Truck is running awesome and sounds great now. The best part is it will be paid off in 2 months!!! :D
