My favorite teacher was a high school biology teacher that taught us above and beyond the curriculum. I nearly failed the first exam he gave our class and I remember feeling pretty beat up about it. He marked hard and relied on us doing our own work to get our marks. I put more effort in and the marks followed. I ended up nearly acing the final and I gave him all the credit for that. That teacher is one of the reasons I'm in the career I am now.

    enough to go over stuff
High school was a breeze. I almost never studied. The only homework I did was what I could do while at school. After school I had lacrosse or cross country every day. I got a 3.5 GPA and did well on the SAT. I got into my first choice school where I had wanted to go since 6th grade to play lacrosse (sonoma state). I wasnt able to get the classes I wanted as a freshman. I ended up in an upper level econ class 1st semester freshman year. My first day in class with 200 students he explained his last 10 years of grades and test scores in his class and how only 50% of us would pass. I wondered why it was all juniors and seniors. I passed with a C+ but found out two years later I needed a B because it was related to my major. I took the class again and looked around on the first day to see people doubt howhard his class was going to be. I was ready and a Junior finance major. The class was a breeze the second time. The teacher was tough. The toughest Ive ever had. Without a few good highschool teachers that challanged me to actually study I would not have passed or graduated. Thank you to all the tough teachers I ever had who taught me to just deal with it.

we get a few a week when the new school year starts, then a few when the end of the school year is coming and the weather is nice, and a few when its super cold out....problem is the 911 call takers dont have the authority to tell them to go get bent

As soon as there are jobs available that will. In the mean time because they are under payed by corporate we get to fill in the blanks. The average worker at McD's is 32 years old kind of rules out kids.

I loved science, and some of my science teachers were great role models for me. Please don't forget Mr. Kingston, that you could be responsible for helping some of these kids change their lives, and the directions they are headed. The world needs more/better role models. We should all do our part.
