Slim's HID Xenon Group Buy! Ends 2/15/14

I installed my heads and fogs today and everything works great! My only question is; Is the buzzing sound coming from the ballasts normal?

 

The headlights will come with a wiring harness and the bulb will have a metal shield on them. If they aren't Bixenon they won't come with the harness.

I can help you troubleshoot to see what is wrong. First do you have a good ground on both sides? Next bring the bad side bulb to the good side and see if it works. Let me know what you find out.

The buzzing is the ballasts warming up and is normal. The sound gets quieter as they warm up. Usually only a minute or so.

I checked both with direct connections to the battery. The one that did not work was tested with both of the ballast and it does the same thing. I think it is a bad bulb. Could I have the kit replaced? Just one set (bulb and ballast)? I will ship them to you today if necessary. I would really appreciate a replacement as i waited a very long time to get them in my hands.

You guys want another?? I think I have the solution where I won't get customs to hold up my package. Just do a group buy with orders being shipped out as I receive them so I don't ever have a HUGE suspicious shipment coming in. this will also make you guys receive the kits days after ordering.

I had a similar issue on my fogs; a short snap of light and then nothing. A quick swap of the ballasts and check of the connections between the lamp and ballast revealed a loose/insufficient connection on one ballast. You may have the same connection issue on just that bulb. Try playing (gently) with the connections while the light is powered on and see if you can get a solid enough connection for the lamp to turn on. This worked for me and it's functioned without issue since. Hopefully you'll have the same luck!
