    Hey gang,

I have a 2011 Access TRD Sport that came stock with a three-leaf rear suspension, not four.

I have a Wheeler's three-leaf add-a-leaf set on the way that's advertised to give 1.5" of lift: I also have an Icon Stage 1 on the way that I plan on leaving at 2". I like the factory rake and would like to maintain it, so it looks like I need another 1/2" in the back. Can I use the OME D29XL add-a-leaf, which advertises 15mm of extra lift, with the Wheeler's kit? If so, can I use the square u-bolts that come with the Wheeler's kit or do I need longer ones?

For what it's worth, I have a set of CBI bolt-on sliders on the way as well, which should be 85lbs. I also have one of their Bushmaster 2.0 bumpers coming. That's listed at 105lbs, although I'm not sure how much net weight I'll be gaining from that as it includes the hitch, so I'll be removing the stock one along with the bumper. I occasionally haul heavy loads, have yet to tow anything.

    Thanks very much.

I spoke with one of the guys at Wheeler's. I've dealt with them a bunch this week and every interaction has been excellent.

He told me that the OME D29XL leaf will not work with the Wheeler's three-leaf set. He said I could go with the single 2" add-a-leaf or heavy duty version of the three-leaf set, but warned that I'd be losing some ride quality.

Any other suggestions on somewhere that would have a leaf I could throw on the pack to get that extra 1/2" - 1"?

I've been trying to avoid spacers in general on this project, but if I need 1/2" in the back, is that maybe a way to go that wouldn't affect shock performance or ride quality?

Could always get the dakars and take the third leaf out. Pretty popular around here for those who don't want the full 2.75" the leaf packs advertise.

If I was doing that, I would install the Icon's/sliders/Wheelers AAL and see where it settles at. You can always add the extra leaf later on if you really don't like the look. The Ubolts with the wheelers kit should have enough variation for another leaf. It will only cost you new center pins/ubolts depending on how long you wait to make your decision if you like it or not.

That's where I left it with the Wheeler's guy today. I'm going to throw the Wheeler's three-leaf in there and see what's what when it's all done. If that looks good, I'll re-evaluate again after the new bumper and sliders.

If I need a new leaf at either of those points, where can I get one that'll work and just give 1"? I figured there would be a lot of options for customizing with one leaf at a time, but I'm not seeing anything. Although I am pretty stupid...

I think the advertised 1.5" from the wheelers 3 leaf is without the overload leaf in. I left my overload in back when I had the Wheelers heavy duty 3 leaf AAL and it gave me 2.5" of lift! Over time it settled down to 2" though. The ride was a little rough but hey, its a truck.

Sounds like the non-HD will settle to right around 1.5" based on that, which is what they advertise.
