Just got my new bilstein 3inch lift for my 97 Tacoma. I was wondering what your thoughts were on the difficulty of instling it yourself? My friends and I are pretty mechanically inclined but this is my first IFS truck. Any input would be great. Also just got some 265 75 17 tires and wheels to go on it after the lift.

If its the kit Im thinking about, it probably isnt going to be too hard, if you have a spring compressor to get the Eibachs into the struts. If not, you can get them put together at a local shop.

To put them under your truck, just jack up the front end, loosen, take off all the bolts connecting the oem strut to the truck/control arms, and replace it with the new Bilstein strut. Could probably do the install by yourself.

Dont forget to get an alignment after. :)

like this dude above me said, as long as you have coil compressors, a good set of sockets and some half wit buddies. you can do it, I did it on my '13 and it was too easy.
