I have a 2012 Tacoma. The light for the TPMS went on and I assumed it was low pressure. The tires say 51psi max so I went to 45psi. The light blinks for about a min after going from off to on before or after starting. Then it stays on solid. I tried to reset it according to the book [owners man] but it will not blink 3 times after it goes solid and I press the reset button. I checked the Spare and put it at 45 psi. I read that a blinking light for up to a min after turning it to the on position or starting is an indication that there is a problem with the system.

I took it to Advance and they said its not something they can reset with the computer, anyone have any experience with this problem or ideas on what to do? Thanks.

I had this same issue. It was a damaged TPMS sensor. Took it back to the shop that I got the rims and tired installed at and they replaced it for the cost of the sensor. Light turned off.
