So, I'm still looking at this POS 07 Tacoma sitting in my drive. As I'm considering buying it really cheap, I've been looking it over really carefully. One of the problems I have noticed is the 4WD. I'm not sure but I don't think it's engaging. When I turn the selector to 4wd, I hear a clink under the truck, but it doesn't FEEL like it's in 4wd (no resistance while turning).

I've searched the forum for answers and I'm thinking it is probably the actuator on the front differential. Which leads me to my biggest problem so far- the truck has a fabtech lift, and the drop bracket member is totally in the way for me to remove the assembly to inspect it. I have ZERO experience with these type of lifts and cant see any way that I could get to the actuator assembly as it is now. Hoping that someone with experience can help guide me into the light.

I am still on the fence about this truck and definitely don't want to drop a dime on this thing to see if the 4wd is fixable...If I can do this myself, I'll check it out.
