Hi, I'm getting a gx160 engine to learn how engines work on a smaller scale. I'm doing this because I've never worked on cars before due to the lack of work space in my apartment's garage. So I think the small engine is perfect to tinker with indoors. I also want to get a head start with something simpler before I head over to auto technician classes in a few months.

Anyways, I eventually want to rebuild the engine, but am a little confused on the types of lubricants to use through out reassembly.
Everyone on the internet seems to have there own remedy for each part of the engine....

So what types lubricants do you guys/gals recommend on using for bearings. How about the inside of the combustion chamber/valves, do I just lightly oil that? Assembly grease on the cam shaft and how about the inside of the connecting rod bearing? Am I missing anything

    Thanks :)
