Too Much Lumbar Support - Please Help!

I test drove a V6 TRD truck. Loved it, but not the price tag. I ended up ordering a I4 SR5 package for about $9K less. Imagine my suprise when the seats are so different between the models that the SR5 seats actually hurt my back. I thought I would get used to it or find an adjustment that works, but I can't. I did a ton of searching, but I think my problem is actually too much lumbar support. Most of the people in my searching complain about too little lumbar, but I haven't see much about it being too much lumbar support.

I priced out putting TRD seat cushions in the truck and it's in the $2K range from the dealer just for parts.

I can not find any used TRD airbag (2012+) seats in my area.

I don't want to take them into an uphostry shop to cut them up if I can avoid it b/c there is no garentee the changes they make will actually be better.

I thought about swaping in seats from another vehicle, but I would loose the airbags and I would really like my brand new truck to look decent. Plus from my reading even other Toyota seats will require welding/fabrication to make them fit.

I've seen a lot of cushions for extra lumbar support, but I have too much already so not really helpful...

Is there anything else that I haven't thought of yet? Anyone want to trade 2012+ TRD seats for some brand new 2015 SR5 ones in the NC area?

I hate the seats in the Taco. I found these online for a lot cheaper than this link fixes the seat issues for me. But I thought they had a lack of lumbar support IMO.

Try going to a junkyard and getting some seats out of a wrecked TRD

 

If you know of a Junk yard in the area (Charlotte, NC) that has these please let me know ASAP! As stated above, I have called several with no luck.

 

I don't know about that area. Your best bet is to keep calling other junkyards, it may take some time
