I would steer away from just about anything ebay related. If you want the best get bushwackers. They're expensive but I wouldn't cheap out on stuff for my truck.

I dont think you can run bigger tires with them like most bushwackers allow you to do. Also they only stick out slightly more than stock, not the 2 or so inches they claim on the website.

But if you just like the way they look go for it.

I just wish they weren't so expensive! Half a grand just for fender flares...I don't want something that's going to fall apart either though..so if it's worth it in the end...I'm also trying to decide if I want flat black or not

I've also thought about just buying them somewhere locally so that I at least won't have to pay for shipping!

I had bushwackers for a little, got some pics on my build thread. I wound up selling them and going back to the stock flares. I like the way the stock ones look better, and i like the stance of the truck better with the stock ones. The bushwackers come flat black, so you're free to do whatever kind of painting you want. I liked the textured look, like line-x or bed liner, but I've seen some ppl that have had them color matched too

If you go cheap on some parts for your truck, you will eventually have to replace them with not so cheap parts. So might as well go with the expensive part the first time so you won't have to replace them in the future. That's what I've learned.

I have color matched stock fender flares right now, and I just really love the look of the pocket-style..I think it looks pretty sexy if you ask me haha..what about these halos that I want to get? I've heard that they have to be replaced often, and that doesn't sound like something I'd want to go through! They are so sick though, and I know I'd love the look.

Sounds like the best bet...I've been doing a lot of research, and looking around..I'm just new at all the different parts that are available, and what to buy and what not to buy.

Usually a good idea to be very very wary of Ebay items.

And as for the flat black or color matched decision: get the color matched, then plasti-dip them black. If you like the look, you're done. If you don't, just peel the dip off. You'll find we're huge fans of that stuff on these forums.

One of the most popular brands on here is www.theretrofitsource.com projectors and halos. I have had them for about a year and no complaints so far. Just kind of tricky to install them.

wait for a good deal on bushwacker, sometimes they go on sale and they may be the best fender flares your money can buy.
