    I have a 2013 Tacoma TRD with a towing package and a 130Amp Alternator.
I have installed a second battery through a QuickCable Isolator unit.
I am running HAM radio operations from my truck and service technicians believe the voltage dropped below 12VDC and the air pumps in the transmission gave an error code to the computer and the truck went into "Limp Mode"
My possible solution is to purchase a larger Alternator (250A) and install it.
I was wondering if my truck has a Nippondenso Alternator which would make me get another isolator unit.
    Any help would be appreciated.

how many amps are you pulling from the ham radio?

and im almost positive there are no such things as "air pumps" in the trans.

    Air pumps in the transmission?

    WTF is that?

I think your service technicians don't have a clue.

Lmao. I think he meant to write the Air pump AND the transmission. Not the air pumps in the transmission.
