I started the light bar journey today threw the 20" in the bumper and waiting to figure out where to put the 15'', its much taller than the 20".
And can anyone show me a photo to wire a 5 prong rocker switch? I can't figure out what's power and ground?

Just thought I would bring a little thread revival...
I bought this light bar off of Amazon. Here's the link:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KX1109Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I like the ability to have great light when I need it and the light bar even at ~30" is pretty discrete without effecting the beam mounted behind the bumper on top of the crash bar. And i apologize I do not have a better camera!
    Enjoy!

To those who mounted their LED bars to their crash bars behind the lower grille opening. Is it necessary to trim out the lower grill plastic grille? does having the lower grille there affect the light beam pattern at all?

Can you mount it with the fins there? Yes. There is the obvious obstruction of the grille there. Also, you are setting the bar back so you will be losing some of the spread capability due to the angles at which the light can exit the opening. This might be okay for limiting foreground light and will give you the impression of more light downrange... not sure what the "right" answer here is personally. Mine is cut out and damn near flush. The majority I have seen however are not.

What are the odds that you found me on the LED thread. lol, I was planning on making it look like yours and have it sit flush with the opening. But, I'm not too sure whether or not it will be its permanent placement, and whether or not if i should trim the valence.. I'm planning on getting an Avid light bar for the front and was debating if I should put it on there instead. For now I'm just testing the waters and trying to see what other people experiences' are..

Before I mounted mine I wired the light up and looked at the beam pattern while it was not restricted behind the bumper grill. Then, placed it on the crash bar behind the grill and the difference in the beam pattern was not enough weakened or restricted enough for me to cut the lower factory grill portion out. Now that being said, I think it actually looks better to take the time and trim the grill like Colton did. And again I have the 2005 type front end so I don't really know how the light would be restricted on your truck. Just my .02 hope it helps.

I did not trim the opening. I'm pleased with the look and the light pattern doesn't seem to be restricted at all. That said, I haven't seen the pattern without the grill.

Going to be that guy, but I read through 50% of this thread and didn't find what I was looking for.

Anyone have drawings "dwgs" of roof mounts for a 40" OKLED light bar? Going on the 2nd Gen (09' specifically). Would gladly pay a fair value for them, I have a local shop I'm prepared to approach to do the job.

If not, any suggestions on where to look? Hitting walls here!

I mounted mine where the plastic crossed. This thing is bright as shit. I don't think it would have affected the output all that much.

Can I get some input from you guys?

    I'm looking at two bars;
    Option #1: Single row 32" bar with 140W net (14 LED x 10W)
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/32-INCH-140W-CREE-SINGLE-ROW-CURVED-LIGHT-BAR-OF-OFF-ROAD-UTE-4X4-SUV-TRUCK-LAMP/171428930640?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D25412%26meid%3D12bc1d12b2c14fd8b0e409b9118cc9d4%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D10672%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D301170453459&rt=nc
    vs
    Option #2: Double row 32" bar with 180W net (60 LED x 3W)
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/32Inch-180w-curved-LED-light-bar-off-road-4WD-Truck-SUV-UTE-driving-light-lamp30-/171443938365?tfrom=171428930640&tpos=top&ttype=price&talgo=undefined

Obviously, 180W is more than 140W, but because the reflector bowls are larger, will the 10W led bar out throw the 3W bar? I know these are cheap Chinese bars, etc. But I'll get the best I can for around $200 - that's my LED bar budget.

Also, has anybody used a curved bar in the lower bumper?
