    Hi Folks,

This is a first time post for me. I am hoping it is the right place. If not, please forgive me and I'll redirect.

    Year: 2003
    Make: Tacoma
    Model:
    4WD double Cab, automatic
    Engine size: 3.4L
    Mileage: 92K

Stock except for hitch receiver and towing harness.

I just replaced my upstream O2 sensor after getting a P0031 code.

When I reconnected the battery and started her up, went through the drive cycle, P0031 cleared and no other codes show... But...

The ABS light does its normal startup routine, then goes into a constant, unending rapid flash. It doesn't go away with high speeds, low speeds, braking, turning, etc. Shutting off the engine does nothing. Tried clearing OBD codes just in case, but as expected-no change.

Have driven on wet roads and slammed on the brakes to see if ABS kicks. It does not (i.e. the Taco skids).

I have read a few places that scangauge puts ABS into test mode, and wonder if maybe my OBDII scanner did that. If so, does anyone know how to take it out of test mode?

    Thanks!

I figured it out... So it was simple.

When I disconnected the battery to try to clear the ABS flashing, I guess I didn't give it enough time. Tried again and left it d/c-ed for 20 minutes. When reconnected and started up, ABS flashing was gone.

    Onward.
