Should I get rid of my Tacoma?

    What I said was that these parts start going bad if they haven't already. If you use your truck as a truck then most likely these parts are pretty worn by 9 years old or 60k+ miles. I'm not getting into argument over this, it's not worth my time. And what the hell does politics have to do with any of this.

    You normally have to replace shocks, balljoints, tie rod ends and other consumable wear parts on vehicles (especially on trucks) by the time they are atleast 3-5 years old and or have above 60k+ miles. States that have safety inspections are more strict about these parts. OBDII parts are only covered for 8 years unless your state extends it (I think California is longer). The emissions parts can range from PCV valve, rubber hoses, EGR parts, etc... and these parts commonly need replaced at these intervals. Same a Cats, O2 sensors and other parts.
