Color matched badges with Plastidip

I have been wanting to do something with the chrome badges for a while. I did not want to debadge and did not want black plastidip. So, I decided to color match the emblems with Plastidip~PlastiMatch/DipMatch!

4 coats black. 4 coats "Bright Aluminum Metalizer". 4 coats glosifier. I will get better pics, in person it is almost an exact match with metalic and all.



















Thinking of a name... chameleon/ninja/undercover/stealth badges!

Kinda X-Runnerish.
Tailgate handle will be next, then black out the step rails!
...what happens when I have too much time on my hands.

 

looks great i want to do something with mine as well but I'm thinking of dark grey just to offset them a bit but different than black

Do it!

There is a few different shades of grey available... True Metallic Aluminum is a few shaded darker than mine. Then dark greys such as gunmetal etc.

Post up some pics when finished.

 

I love when people do different stuff as opposed to black. I'm waiting on my electric lime green and pearlizer to do my badges!

I was thinking of green or orange or blue for the front emblem... Ez and cheep enough why not try them all!

Finished the tailgate handle and looks great. I'll grab a pic tomorrow.

 

Will do! Green is my favorite color and pearl because I have a desert dune metallic 4runner. And I'm a girl so pearl is fitting haha
