Has anyone slipped on their nerf bar steps when they're wet? I'm talking about the hard plastic steps below each door opening found on some bars. If so, got any ideas to minimize this embarrassing and dangerous situation?

You could bed line them or get some grip tape like they use on skateboards and stick that on lol

It's a lot cheaper to get grip tape at a dealership that sells/services transport trucks cause they use rolls of that stuff on the steps and other slippery spots behind the cab. I made 4 door sill protectors for $2.10.. ;)

Marine/Boating shops have non-skid tape you could use. You can find different colors from a marine supply. Search non-slip tape and non-skid tape to see all sources.

    Yes
Not on sidesteps but on my door sills I used a rubber step pad material that came on a roll. Maybe look into rubber pads made for ladders, that was my other option but they were too thick.

    For reference.

Nerf bars are "okay" at protecting your truck from door dings and that is about it. They offer no other type of protection. Sliders offer much better protection and look much better IMO. Nerf bars are just plain ugly in my opinion.
