Reluctantly, I am selling my 2003 double cab Tacoma 4x4 TRD. I searched long and hard to find this model in this shape with miles this low in southern California. It has a clean Carfax and Autocheck (ranks 98/100) (can give copies to new owner). Selling because I dipped into savings to buy it and would rather have money toward a down payment on a house. Plus the wife would say I have too many vehicles right now...

    The breakdown:
2003 double cab Tacoma 4x4 TRD
    Factory Radiant Red color (rare)
    3.4L V6 - 116K miles
Automatic transmission (recent Toyota fluid flush)
Color coded front & rear bumpers, door handles and fender flares (no chrome!)
Double cab w/ folding rear seats
    Clean cloth grey interior
Keyless entry with Alarm (have two original FOB's, two factory rubber Toyota keys, two factory Toyota regular keys, two keys for the Yakima rack, & two keys for the ARE rear window latch)
Hidden brand rear hitch receiver and trailer wiring
Front hitch receiver (manufactured specifically for it)
    Windows tinted all around
    Red top Optima battery
Factory color matched ARE top w/ Yakima adjustable and locking roof rack
    Plastic bed liner
    Power windows
    Power locks
    Cruise control
    Factory rear diff Electric locker
    Hood bug deflector
2-3" suspension lift - Downey rear leafs and Bilstein 5100's all around
New Toyota brakes (resurfaced rotors, new pads, adjustment & Toyota fluid flush)
2012 Tacoma TRD Off Road edition wheels
New BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO's
    4 wheel alignment
    Ice cold AC
Toyota factory all-weather Tacoma mats throughout

I have a lot of documentation on the car, including every all services done at dealer. I have the original manual including the original alarm/keyless paperwork and a digital copy of the Toyota Factory Service Manual I can give to the new owner. I also have clean Carfax report, Autocheck report KBB value printout, NADA value printout, Toyota Owners maintenance records, and a variety of service receipts.

There have been NO accidents -- all VIN matched panels, not removed bolts, not misaligned panels or headlights. The plastic bed liner has been in the bed since new so besides the rubbing of the paint the inside of the bed is like new with no dents. Everything on the car works including the 4x4, rear locker, factory keyless/alarm, AC, etc. It does not use or drip a drop of any fluid. The factory spare tire has never even been off the vehicle and it still has the original Toyota windshield that is chip and crack free! Again, this thing is clean -- you will not be disappointed!

    Price $17,500

Location: Santa Barbara, CA (but I travel to and from San Diego weekly so I could meet you pending schedule and notice)

Dude, though your truck is really clean and in great condition, 17,500 is crazy! You might as well go buy a 2nd Gen with the same about of miles and 5 years newer.

He is in the right ball park with all the options and mileage according to KBB . My truck is a 2004 4WD DBLCAB with TRD package and KBB on my truck is 18,500 so he is in the ball park for the asking price . Good luck OP , hope you sell it .

[IMG] Buy / Sell / Trade RULES [rev. 11/27/2012]
You should only be posting in here if you're selling something specific, or looking to buy something specific (secondhand). If you have general questions about what to buy, or what kind of part you need, those belong in the appropriate forum, not in Buy / Sell / Trade.

    SELLERS RULES
    1. The subject-line of your post must be a description/name of what you're selling
    2. You must include a price for the item. If you aren't sure, put down a number and add "OBO" after it (Or Best Offer)
    3. You must include a picture of the item you're selling. It must be the actual item, not a manufacturer stock photo. It can be attached to the post, or embedded from other sites, such as photobucket
    4. For local-pickup or regional sales, you must include your city in the post [new]
    5. Specify the model year that the parts you're selling are made for [new]
    6. When naming a price, take into account any fees that PayPal may charge you (under "Receiving purchase payments") [new]
    7. If you are selling the item on an auction or classified site, you may link to the sale from your post-BUT YOU MUST still include a picture in the post.
    8. When the item you're selling is no longer for sale, please indicate so by replying to your sales thread. This helps avoid confusion among people seeing your post.
    9. Sellers may bump their threads only once a day
    10. Carfax reports are not allowed to be sold via Tacomaworld
    11. Please do not make multiple threads for the same items [NEW]

    BUYERS
    1. If you're making a willing-to-buy post, it must have WTB: in the subject, followed by the item you're looking to buy

DO NOT BASH for sale threads in what you think is a good price to sell an item. PM the OP and give them a suggestion. You have been warned and action will be take action if this happens.

DO NOT post for-sale threads that are not complete. Photos are part of the deal, so don't start a thread until you have them ready. If you do not post a complete thread, it will be nuked. Statements such as "My dog ate my camera" or "Photos when I get home tonight" are not good substitutes for photos.

Interest is good, but you need to weed thru people who don't know what they are looking at and just want a "pickup":D that's why I would prefer to sell it on a forum like Tacomaworld over anywhere else. Craigslist is garbage and a for sale sign in the window is not far off. Good luck selling yours.

Let me know if anyone wants more pictures.

Seller's price tag is right in line. I just sold my 04 double cab TRD 4x4 w/100k for $17k... $17.5 was my asking price, expecting a little wiggle room. $16.5 was my absolute bottom line. According to KBB and market value, price is in the acceptable range. Plus, not everyone digs 2nd gens and is after a clean 1st gen, which this appears to be. Not trying to bash, just stating facts.

OP- Good luck and I'm sure it'll sell once the right buyer finds it. I was lucky enough to sell mine within 2 days of posting it (Craigslist), and this was just last week.

SOLD...for $16500 (for others reference). I gave the guy some $ off since he flew in from Reno and it technically needed valve cover gaskets (every 3.4 I have seen is leaking a little bit). Plus the guy was really cool so I knew it was going to a good home.

    Thanks for everyone's interest!
