I'm looking to sell, but I am torn. Love the truck, need more interior space for car seat, hate the difference in what I owe and what a dealer offered as trade-in. Leaning towards private sale, but not sure what to ask for it.
Stock truck except I switched out the front mud flaps and have BFG Rugged Terrains instead of the Dunflops. Little over 6000mi

Good rule of thumb is take the NADA Retail and NADA clean trade and split the difference for your private party asking price. Expect to get 5%-15% less than that number. That being said Regular Cabs are typically a tough sell for the very reason you just stated. But it is a Toyota so it will sell sooner or later.

    Thanks.
Maybe it's too soon, but from stuff I've read it seemed that the RC's were going to be holding there value well, because of them being discontinued.

Down here they sell very fast, oftentimes for hunting trucks or a kids first vehicle. I bought my 06 RC 4X4 5 speed in 2011 with 18,000 miles for about 14k. It was first advertised on Autotrader the day I bought it, got there at 11 am and there were already 3 offers on it, one was out of state. Only reason I got it over the others is because I got my financing together before everyone else.

It's gone...definitely will get another someday, though it will be a DC for sure. For now and the next few to many years rolling in a Subaru Impreza. Already put more miles on it in two days than I did in my Tacoma in a week. The baby shuttle has begun. Farewell for now.
