Went to check on my tie-rods the other day. Noticed something was wetting up the dirt behind my skid plate. So I looked around and noticed a drip coming from the radiator. Its a slow drip. Been driving around for the past couple of days and the temp is fine. I work late, and by the time I get off, everyone is closing up so I haven't had time for someone to look at it for me as I don't know much about this kind of stuff. Thought I'd see if you guys can help. Is it supposed to be doing this or no?

If you see a leak from the radiator, the radiator is leaking. Check the hoses and all connections, otherwise replace the radiator.

there is a small fitting on the bottom of the radiator that is to drain it, it may be loose and dripping and just needs to be tightened by hand (its plastic)

also check by the cap that the rubber hose is not loose, from time to time the radiator expels water when hot and the hose directs it into the collector jug on the side of the radiator so if its loose that could be where the water is coming from.

also be sure the catch jug on the side of the radiator isn't leaking as well as the washer fluid reservoirs are famous for the necks cracking and that could be where the water is coming from when the truck takes a turn

follow the wet spots and if its the radiator replace it, fix it jobs on radiators seldom work and its not worth risking overheating if it fails

I'll give it a look tomorrow. I'll post pics of my findings. Just recently started so it kind of confused me

I've heard that cracking an egg into the coolant reservoir will seal a crack in the radiator. Never tried it though so I'm not sure. Maybe worth a shot if all else fails

So I got a chance to check out this problem today. I noticed that there was remnants of fluid around the fan shroud and my air box housing. So my guess is its leaking from the top. Going to go more in depth with it this weekend when I have some free time

That's for emergencies, say you're lost in the middle of nowhere, and you find an egg in a nest, then you pee in the radiator to get you back to civilization.

    Not a permanent fix

I have used black pepper with great success before for leaking freeze plugs and a leaking radiator. I had to dump like a full measured cup into it but it stopped the leak each time and never leaked again. I think its only good for tiny pin hole leaks though, not cracks or bigger holes
