96 tacoma v6 automatic 4x4 extended cab, I want to swap to a manual transmission, would this be a major job? And would I have to mess with my computer far as swapping it?

I don't know but, .... I "assume" all you would have to do is make sure it has the correct speedo gear for your tire size.

beyond that it depends on if the shifter boots mount the same with the right clearances.

you will also need to install the entire clutch system but again I will "assume" its all set up and you just have to install the brackets and levers and such along with the clutch master cylinder, that is the only thing im not sure if yours will be set up to bolt on but it should be

another unknown is if the trannys and drive shafts are the same lengths for both

On my 240sx, the firewall already had the marks to where the clutch pedal and master cylinder would be so I just drilled it out. I bought a 5 speed beater for $400 so I had everything. Aside from a broken pivot ball and not knowing I had to jump the automatic Park sensor relay I would rate the conversion as easy.
