I have a 2009 Taco 4 x 4 Base Cab with a front lift (put on by former owner) and a Toyotec Add A Leaf Spring Pack in the Rear to level the truck. The total lift is about 4 inches over stock. Can I put LT285/R75/16 BFG Rugged Terrain Tires on my truck without a rubbing problem? THANKS

No one can answer that. Should you rub no. Can you rub absolutley. The only way to be able to answer that is to go to the tire dealer of your choice and get them to mount the tires and see. If you do rub it should be very minimal and probably can trim any issue with a pocket knife. I rubbed on 33's with a 6" kit on the front of the front bumper. Now with 3" I rubbed on the back of the fender. You will just have to see. But curious how you are getting such a high lift what lift is on the truck and where did you get your measurement?

Thanks for getting back to me with your advice. In answer to how I got the 4" lift - between the rear spring pack I had installed and the front lift/leveling kit that the previous owner installed - lifted the truck about 4" over stock height. I am basing this on comparing the height of a bone stock Tacoma Base Cab 4x4 and my truck.

When I bought the truck it only had the front lift and a national 4 Wheel Drive shop first tried rear blocks to level the truck. I immeadiayte had the problem of the rear pinion or drive shft making grinding noises whenever I decelerate at highway speeds. They then tried the helper spring pack which is what I have now - still have the noise after 5 months and 15000 miles. Love the lift - hate the noise. Have had two Toyota Dealers check it out and they both say the noise is nothing to worry about???!!!!

    Thank Again
