alpine pdr v75 wire sizes per manual...

I was just planning on using 16 awg speaker wire for everything other than main power and the ground which i have 4 awg and i picked up some 14 awg from work for the remote wire. Should i be worried and upsize the wire?

 

Everyone ive talked to has said 16s would be fine. Ill use bigger for the sub. But this irks me a bit.

What is the power output of your application and approximate wire length?

 

Running 4 speakers at 75 watts at 4 ohms and the sub at 350 watts at 2 ohms. Im putting the amp under the drivers seat and the sub on the passenger side behind the rear seats. so the distance is going to be fairly short

 

Use 14 gauge Oxygen free copper and it will handle what that amp throws out.
