Seeing if anyone has any info as far as a rifle mounted or handheld night vision or thermal imaging scope. I'll be sitting in a tree stand and would like to be able to see any coyotes coming up. Thanks

Expensive as anything. Night vision just gives you shades of green, otherwise you can see what you would more or less normally see.

Thermal lets you see nothing except heat. So something moving through brush will be more visible than with nv, but youll have 0 detail.

Yeah the thermal is expensive as hell. Basically it will be all within 50 yards.

My dad just bought a Flir this past summer. It is BADASS. However, it is a handheld and won't really help a ton if you are shooting. It is really nice though and its primary use so far has been checking cattle and keeping an eye out for newborns as well as predators during calving season.

    OP, check out this thread:

    http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?109975-FLIR-T-50-Night-Coyote-200-Yards

I've been using thermal sights for over 25 years - they're awesome. Downside - they cost a LOT of coin.

Want to kill a lot of coyotes? Get a call, lure them in, be merciless - kill as many as you can while you can. Repeat a bunch, because they're pretty smart, and adapt pretty easy.
