I do it all the time....our other vehicle is a GX470, which makes the Tacoma sound like a Jeep Wrangler inside.

So far I've done all 4 doors, the back wall, under the rear seat, and the kick panels with Raamat. It made a difference, but not as much as I was hoping for. Still debating on whether or not to do the floor and roof.

From what I have heard, doing the roof makes a huge difference. I haven't done it myself though.

3M Thinsulate Acoustic insulation kicks ass. I used it several places on my GT500 in combination with some other dampening materials and I was very impressed.

I sound deadened my entire truck, a little quieter but nothing that competes with today's new models. The windows are the problem I think, and the horrible loud standard transmission causing the truck to rev way to high at highway speeds.

Wow since my OP this thread got some traction.

to answer some of the questions. My truck is stock with Dynapro ATM's on itand everything else stock. I am just hearing road noises, wind, etc. No rattling or creaks thats not what I am talking about. I drive about 20k per year and tow up north quite a bit. I love my truck because of a couple of reasons 1st it has been very reliable and I love the composite box for throwing things in, 2 they hold value very very well, it fits in garage and is 4 doors(something I cant make happen in a full size) In the winter in Wisconsin that is a huge plus.

What I dont like is really the creaking leaf springs;) and then the road noises. Our 07 suburban is quieter I understand they are different vehicles but I am still using that as a comparison. I also dont like the stupid design of changing spark plugs every 30k I feel like the days when I was changing plugs every 5 k with my twin triple throat webers on my Porsche 914-6 engine.

the only thing manageable for me is to "insulate" the truck some and I think the doors are the weakest link and you can tell just by the way they shut with the "ting".

go ahead and trash me I understand I must be getting old but loud cars/trucks have got less exciting for me as I have gotten older and have to drive further..
