Tire question

    I currently have bfg ko 285 70 17 tires load range D and it's time to replace them. Just curious if anyone knew what the mpg difference would be if I go with load range E, same tires? There's a used set with pretty low miles and was just seeing if it would be worth it mpg wise. Looking on discount tired website it looks like they are 3 lbs heavier. 56lbs vs 59lbs.

    I don't think you'll notice a difference at that close in weight if they're the same size. Typically you'll see a lot more loss in mpg from increasing diameter or going to more aggressive tread than adding a couple pounds
