it is the south bay (CA) which i understand... but ya, def shopping around and just for the heck of it im going to ask the dealer too.

if i can manage to install the lift and brakes myself it will save a ton. I just need to understand if i need any special tools to put on the shocks (they are already built, but heard you need a spring compressor possibly).

I hear that the AAL runs a bit stiff on this lift, so I was recommended to check out the Dakar Leaf Spring: http://bit.ly/1FnYaO4

Nothing yet. Old truck had the works.
$2700 for ICON stage 3 kit.
$420 for labor 4 hours which i think is reasonable
    $150 for alignment

All in all was fair especially for hawaii prices. Everything is through the roof.

Just priced a 2" to 3" lift from my local shop.

    Bilstein Front Shocks - 145.00 x2
    Bilsten Rear Shocks - 115.00 x2
    Diff Drop $52.00
Add a Leaf - $550.00 ( Just got an email - " the leaf doesn't have a brand name. we have spring material that we cut, drill and arch to obtain the desired lift " )
    Alignment - $99.95
Labour $350.00 (which he states is for the front, which makes no sense. I'm assuming the whole thing, and he's just confused)
    1571.95 Before Taxes (12%) sooo $1760.58

Opinions? These are Canadian Prices by the way.

Wow. That's steep. No front springs? Just using 5100's and stock coils? It may be labour for the front alone. What shop are you dealing with?

I would order OME (or 5100's) with 885's assembled and mount them yourself. Lots of vendors on here will sell you that setup. order new rear shocks and a new dakar leaf pack and do it yourself. AAL is a little more involved and most people wind up upgrading to a new pack. I believe you can skip the diff drop but no way it should be more than 30 bucks. It's just 2 spacers.

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
That $550 seems steep for the AAL, especially just a single non brand. I reccomend ordering all these parts from Wheelers or any shop that has closer to reasonable prices.
