    For that many pins it may make sense taking you back to the OR. For a few pins, administering local anesthetic hurts much worse. A regional block is kind of an overkill as well as you are looking at several hours of a numb, extremity to pull a few pins. My patients don't seem to think it hurts too bad. Quick pull and its over.

    It was a motorcycle accident. The doc said "it will only hurt a little" It was like pulling a nail out of a 2x4 with a pair of pliers. at least i got to keep them after he pulled them out...
