I'm new to tacoma world, I have a 97 tacoma xl 2.7 4x4 manual. Around 155k good running little truck. I have a few questions. I wanna replace the square headlights to something brighter or updated version possibly. Truck has no cruise control thinking about trying to install something if there is something for after market. Any ideas on ways to get a little more power out of it with out sinking to much money into it. The 4x4 selector vibrates and makes a rattling noise, if I push it over and hold it it stops once I let go rattling comes back I have grown use to the sound but still wanna see if there is a fix. For you hunters I would like some ideas on gun racks in the cab and the way your rigs are set up for hunting. I'm gonna eventually gonna get a nice brush guard for it thanks for your time looking and sharing I will be checking this post every chance I get for new ideas and ways to get the truck set up for what I want. If i don't reply to any post it's because work is busy and home life is the same. Thanks for everything

Welcome! i just purchased a kit from the Retro fit source. D2S to be more specific. i have been hearing good reviews on people who switch over to projectors. There are OEM cruise controls online, and simple to install. I will try to get a link for you

Welcome to TW! You mentioned installing cruise control. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but aren't all of our trucks set up for it "wiring wise" even if it didn't come on the truck?
If that's the case could the OP find all the necessary components in a junk yard and it work?
I dunno if this is possible but it's just a thought. Somebody on here knows I'm sure.

Headlamps: get glass replacement H4 housings like Vision X or Rampage and put in Silverstar Ultra bulbs.

Huge difference at a pretty low cost.
