So I'm in the process in making my own roof mounts. Does anyone know how far the light should stick out pass the windshield to reduce glare possibilities? I'm making a moc up right now and wanna know how far I need it to pass the windshield.

I can't believe no one has give you any input. I wish I could help. I have searched and searched for mounting brackets and can't find any. I am looking at the 50" curved light bar. If I can't find mounts I guess I won't buy one

They have to stick far enough forward to not hit the hood. But that distance depends on the light itself. If its a tight beam, not far.

The $100 mounts are overpriced by about $60.
