Center Console Lock Mechanism Replacement

    There is a button that you press on the center console to open the console. It appears to work on a spring. That spring apparently broke and my button popped out. I am looking for ideas to fix just the broken part or at most replace just the console lid but not have to replace the whole console. There doesn't seem to be any plastic parts that are broken, I think it's just the spring.

    There's like half a dozen threads on this and I think a DIY also, have you looked for it? Pretty sure it's on TW, anyway.. the DIY is under $2 to fix.

    I can't find the post I was referencing. The OP used a roll pin from Home Depot to fix his, but it appears that post you found also works well. :notsure:
