I purchased a Bakflip fibermax cover for my 2011 DCSB tacoma back in December of 2012.
Zoom to Mid 2014 and the finish had deteriorated to the point I could see the actual fiberglass. I only used Aerospace 303 on the cover as recommended by the manufacturer. The finish just wore away. I'm sure it was a combination of heat and direct sunlight, as I live in Texas.
Bakflip customer service was awesome! Fortunately, I had registered and warrantied my cover when I purchased it. It took about 3 weeks overall as they made the cover when I emailed them about it. So if this happens to yours don't hesitate to give them a call.
